SAP BW/BI HANA Managing Consultant

£90,000 – £110,000 basic + Benefits + Bonus (£110,000 – £130,000 OTE) 

BW/BI HANA Lead Managing Consultants are sought for a major leading Consulting Partner hiring for a business unit that covers a range of information functions including BI, data management, Data Science, Big Data, analytics and Content Management. The team is one of the largest and most successful SAP BI teams in the UK delivering innovative SAP reporting solutions and enterprise BI thought leadership to our clients.

The team is growing and requires capable functional and technical SAP BI Managing Consultants. We are looking for talented individuals to take on leadership roles within the team and work with our clients at locations across the UK. Successful candidates will showcase technical leadership and team leadership skills. The BW/BI HANA Lead Managing Consultants will also influence client decision making in technology choices and strategy.

With that in mind, a strong delivery background is essential as is insight into SAP’s future roadmaps. You will be expected to be able to contribute to the internal practice, with a focus on bid proposals and SAP points of view.

The SAP BI/HANA Managing Consultant will work on things such as Managing delivery of SAP BI Projects. Helping clients to define their solution and/or enterprise architectures for BI and analytics. Leading bid responses documents and help shape propositions and offerings. Managing stakeholders, both from the client and internally, and help clients them define, classify and prioritise their requirements. Work with technical and management consultants to design solutions that leverage SAP packaged content but also look beyond standard offerings and safeguard clients’ core requirements and competitive advantage.

The suitable SAP BI/HANA Managing Consultant would have core skill sets such including most if not all of the following-:

• Experience in defining and building BI and Analytics solution using a range of SAP toolsets and data sources (e.g. BW on HANA, BW/4HANA, ECC, S/4HANA, Embedded analytics, etc).
• Thought leadership for the SAP BI roadmap and architecture
• Knowledge of multiple SAP processes and data structures
• Project Management\Team leader experience
• Business Objects Enterprise toolset, including the key components Web Intelligence, Lumira Discovery\Designer (or previous versions), SAP Analytics Cloud
• Management of requirements gathering and design workshops with both business and technical audiences.
• Pre-sales experience

Additional nice to have experience would include things such as; project management approaches (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, DevOpcs), Knowledge of SAP Predictive analytics and non-SAP analytics/data science toolsets. Awareness / experience of SAP Cloud Platform. Awareness / experience of delivering solutions using non-SAP BI technologies (Oracle, MS Azure BI, Tableau, PowerBI, Microstrategy, Qlikview etc.). or having any experience with SAP Data Services and being aware of SAP Data Hub.

The Salary offered to the BW/BI HANA Managing Consultant will be dependent on experience and grading in the interview process. This is a professional services consulting role and as such the candidate must be fully mobile and can live anywhere in the UK but must have full rights to work in the UK without requiring work permit sponsorship.
